Target Story Time

When I put out last week's list of fun and cheap things to do, I had Target's Dr Seuss Story time on there...where the kiddos got a free goody bag and were treated to readings of the Lorax and other Dr Seuss Favorites.

The hubster got Miss Sarah there right after ballet on Saturday -- its easy to spot her, she is pink, LOL.

The goody bags were CUTE and had coloring sheets, a juice box and fruit chewies as well as a coupon for Dr Seuss books.
Why do we love Dr. Seuss so much?
My Mother in Law knew Mr Ted Geisel.
:)
I say this with love: my in-laws are a bajillion years old.
 They seem to know EVERYONE.
Seriously.
It's uncanny - the people that they have crossed paths with in their 85+ years on this planet.

Here is a fun idea -- one that we have started but it is far from being my idea.
I have seen it at several baby showes, etc over the years.
Get the Dr Seuss Book: Oh, The Places You'll Go
Every year, sneak it to your child's teacher (from Kindergarten to Senior Year)
at the end of the school year and have them write a note to your child.
Also do this with special people who make a difference in their life:
Dance teachers, Karate teachers, Sunday School, your pastor, Grandparents, etc

Give this book to them when they graduate and watch them pour over
all the messages you have collected for them over the years.

Isn't that the COOLEST idea??
