READ ME: New Roundy's Coupon Policy (for Copps and Pick N Save)

In case you didn't catch it - they updated the coupon policy for Copps and Pick N Save stores. There aren't many big changes but it is certainly clearer than what they had. I have certain parts in RED that you might want to pay attention to and explain them in BLUE at the end.

Catalina Coupons
Catalina is a third party vendor that partners with vendors and Roundy’s to offer both manufacturer and Roundy’s in-store coupons. The coupons are triggered by purchasing qualified items at checkout which generate a coupon to print on the Catalina printer.

It is Roundy’s policy that these coupons are to be used in a future purchase, not within the purchase in which they are generated.

Catalina coupons are provided to the customer present based on a product purchase. If that customer does not want their earned Catalina coupon, it is Roundy’s policy that the Catalina coupon(s) are destroyed immediately. Catalina coupons are non-transferable (including self-checkout).

Roundy’s will accept competitor Catalina coupons provided the coupon states "Manufacturer Coupon" and does not state "Redeemable Only At (Competitor Name Here)."

All Manufacturer Coupon guidelines apply to Catalina Coupons when marked "Manufacturer Coupon."
oCatalina Coupons when marked "Manufacturer Coupon" cannot be used in conjunction with any other manufacturer coupon for the same product.

SavingStar and UPromise Programs

Roundy’s helps its customers participate in the SavingStar program where coupon values are loaded to their Rewards Cards, applied upon purchase and delivered to the customer at a later date (not immediately at checkout), as well as UPromise where savings are banked in order to save for college.

Please direct all inquiries for these programs to:
SavingStar – www.savingstar.com
UPromise – www.upromise.com

Roundy’s may change these rules at any time. Rule changes may become effective without advance notice or advertisement. The current rules will be posted on Roundy’s websites. Updates will be posted as they occur. (They do not have to tell us in advance that they are changing the policy - and I bet it WILL change again, when they roll out Unlimited Double Coupon Days)

Under General Acceptance, nothing hugely new - they make it clearer as to what they will and won't take. Photo copied coupons are illegal and they are still not letting us get "Overage" where a coupon could give us money back if it is greater than the value of the item being bought. The Right to Limit coupons -- might effect those of us that order large quantities of items, like 50 boxes of cereal, etc.

Under Manufacturer Coupons, they say the coupon can't exceed the value. We HAVE been using them in the past but not gotten "Overage". We simply got the item FREE. This might be impossible now. Example: Toothpaste for $.75 and you have a $1.00 coupon. They might not let you use the coupon anymore.
...No stacking of SavingStar or UPromise eCoupons with paper Manufacturer coupons. Considering the fact that they are both Manufacturer Coupons, we shouldn't anyways. :)

Under Doubled Coupons, I know several people used to buy Roundy's gift cards to bump up their base total so they could double coupons. They would use that gift card on their NEXT transaction and buy another $25 gift card with their 5 items. You can no longer do this. You can still buy gas cards, etc but not the Roundy's ones.

Under Printed Internet Coupons, they are just making it VERY clear. It is illegal to photo copy and use coupons...and it is a clearly spelled out clause to help them avoid fraudulent coupons. A lot of the ones out there for FREE products, printed off of the Internet, are fakes and show up on the CIC list.

Under Catalina Coupons, I see a few things. First of all, you can't go digging through the trash cans at the self checkout aisle and look for ones that people have pitched. They also don't want cashiers to save them and use them personally. That is why they get destroyed.
...Walgreen's Register Rewards ARE OK to use, as long as they do not say "ONLY AT Walgreen's". If they say Redeemable AT Walgreen's, they should be OK. You often see ones like this at HyVee, Sentry Foods and Target too.
