HyVee, Cub Foods and Aldi

Things to look at this week:

Ham: Cub Foods! They have a coupon for .89/# when you spend $20+, there is NO LIMIT to the pounds you can buy! Check out here for my ham ideas.

Soda: a lot of stores are having sales, try to hold out until May if you can -- the sales will be BETTER!

HyVee has another 3-Day "Mega Fresh" sale this week. Yippe!!

Produce:

Red Ripe Strawberries $1/# (sold in a 4# package for $3.99) - limit of 1

Dole Salad Mix $.77 for a 12 oz bag

Dole Coleslaw Mix $.77 for a 14 oz bag

Fresh Green Beans $.99/#

Dole Celery $.97 each -- again, weigh them first.

Meat Deals:

80% Lean Fresh Ground Beef @$1.99/# (sold in a 5# tube for $9.95)- limit of 2
**This is a REALLY great deal as we haven't seen it under $2.49/# in a while!

HyVee 100% Natural Grace "A" Whole Chicken $.79/# -- which is $.20 less per pound than last week! THIS is my buy price, and I am cringing as we have NO freezer space and I am craving beer can chicken!!!

I know the Spiral ham is under $2/# but it is VERY easy to over cook so it is dry and tough...it is also TWICE the price that you see ham at Cub Foods this week!

Salmon is a good buy at $3.99/# - and it looks precut into portions for you! We are dying to try out a new TupperRecipe for our SmartSteamer - I am going to grab one!

Other Deals:

Not so much...when you can get DOUBLE double days at Roundy's this coming weekend, there aren't many other good deals this week.

***Like I mentioned, HAM is the big deal this week $.89/# when you spend $20.

Produce Deals

Navel Oranges $.77/#

Red Grapefruit $.77/#

Jumbo Cantaloupe $1.88 -- weigh them to get a heavier one.

Meat Deals

Ham is the big story, the other BOGO meats are still over the price point when you cut the price in half.

Dairy Case/Refrigerated Deals

Butter @$1.99/# when you use the coupon, limit of one

Other Deals:

A lot of cereal ads, but they all come to over the $1/box price point after coupons.

Some good deals on the ExtravaCANza Sale:

-Del Monte Veggies $.50 can

-Del Monte 14.5 oz cans fruit for $1

-Red Gold Tomatoes for $.79 each

Master Price List and Tips Here:

Aldi's prices are on the creep up, like everywhere else. I will check some of the prices on the "master list" when I visit this week to get some fresh fruit.

People are reporting that eggs are jumping to over $1.30 a dozen, Bread, ground beef and more slipping up too, they are still a great place to hit for fresh produce!

This week:

Oranges in 4-pound bag for $1.69. ($.43/#)

Pears in 28-ounce package for $0.99. ($.57/#)

Bagged Spinach in 9-ounce bag for $0.99 per bag ($1.76/#) **I am craving a spinach salad with hot bacon dressing...I might have to splurge!

Tomatoes in 24-ounce package for $1.69 ($1.12/#)
