Adopt a Military Base

If you have taken my Coupon Clipping 101 class - you might remember me talking about expired coupons. Cub Foods will take them for three months, but the military overseas, can use coupons up to 6 months past the expiration date. It’s very easy to get started sending your expired coupons…. Sort your coupons into boxes or envelopes by food and non food (make sure they are properly labeled). Please make sure that they expired within the past 2 months. Military can use coupons expired up to 6 months, but they will need time to process, distribute and use those coupons. Visit the Overseas Coupon Program Base List and pick which base you would like to adopt (make sure you pick one that says Please Adopt Us!) Read through the Adoption Page’s frequently asked questions Fill out the form to adopt the base. It is instant and you will not be contacted to confirm your adoption. Mail your coupons to the base. You can also send your coupons to individuals if you happen to know someone who i

First things first - I was SHOCKED at how much cereal had jumped since the last time I really looked at it! I will update the master General Mills list on Monday, when I go in for my store credit...example? The Cinnamon Burst Cheerios that was $2.89 a box in February is now $4.19!!!!!!! OUCH! Next - the voucher are printing up $.75 short of what the ad states ($3.50 and $2.50 = $6) as we got a $5.25 total. I put out a separate post about that - make sure you get your store credit! OK - Here is what I did today, a little higher than I planned as the cereal was nutso high, but still pretty close to my original plan! Transaction #1 3 Chocolate Cheerios @$4.19 3 Cinn Burst Cheerios @$4.19 1 gallon milk $2.65 1 pkg Chips Ahoy @$2.79 (normally 2.99) Emerald Breakfast to go $3.49 Angel Soft TP $2.99 1 24pk water @$3.49 (normally $4.99) 2 Bagel Bites Pepperoni @$2 (normally $2.39) -----Coupons used: $9 cereal deal, $1/1 TP (doubled), two $1/1 Bagle Bites (doubled), Free milk (t

Cereal Deal Warning...

The catalinas are NOT printing out as the ad states! Instead of $3.50 for milk and $2.50 for eggs ($6 value), they are coming out $3.75 and $1.50 ($5.25). I have already talked to our store manager (the awesome Paul) and he thinks it's an add misprint - but DID say to talk to your store manager for the $.75/transaction store credit (but not today - they are nutso busy) I am getting my $4.50 store credit on Monday.   :)

Campbell’s Spaghettios 50¢ – No Coupons Needed !!!

Target :  If you have a fan of Campbell’s Spaghettios in your house, than you will want to look for the same sale that I found going on at my store. Thru 6/11, the Original Spaghettios are just 50¢. There are no mainstream coupons that I know of, but it’s like getting them for almost 50% off, even without a coupon. While it is possible for sales to vary by region, even if you don’t see a sign, it’s worth a quick price check at the scanner just in case! (Thanks Totally Target!) **If you see the Eat This, Not That books, they like Spaghettios over Mac N Cheese as it has less fat and a full serving of veggies in every can. Good books to check out at the library, the next time you are there.  :)

Sentry Lake Mills Coupon Policy

What kinds of coupons do you accept: Manufacturer's? Printables? eCoupons? Any "normal" clipped coupons, for IPs only up to $1, no Ecoupons (downloaded to your phone) Do you exclude any coupons? Ex: above $5 off, BOGO offers, coupons for free products? Only if they are IPs. A "normal" clipped coupon will be accepted for those items. If the coupon exceeds the value of the product, do you adjust the price of the coupon down? Ex: $1 off coupon on a $.97 product. NO. You get overage What is your policy on overage (when the value of the coupon exceeds the value of the product)? Yes. If something is on sale for $.75 - and you have a $1 coupon, you will get that bonus $.25 off your other items. Do you limit the number of coupons I may use per transaction? No. You can Stack coupons (use 1 manufacturers and 1 store coupon on the same item) and use 1 manufacturer's coupon per item in your cart. If you have 20 bottles of ketchup, you can use 20 ketchup coupons

Answer: Watertown Pick N Save RR deal

I just talked to Kelley and they DO take Walgreen's Register Rewards. At first she tried to tell me they didn't and explained how they work. I politely cut her off after 3-4 sentences and let her know that I understand as I teach the class :) I then asked if there was a manager I could talk to - and she got the front lead. As long at the word ONLY isn't on there: ONLY redeemable at Walgreen's, and they say MANUFACTURER COUPON , then they will take them. If you have ANY trouble there, just ask for the Front End Lead or Manager on duty. For those of you that had an experience with an employee who was RUDE to you - their name should be on your receipt. You need to call the store and report it as there is NO REASON for them to be rude to you! As long as we are polite, know what we are talking about - rude is totally uncalled for!!! Hugs! Dannelle

DIY Tuesday: Kid's Summer Fun

Many schools are wrapping up for the season and it's the beginning of summer vacation! Here are a few fun, frugal things you can do, to keep them engaged and entertained. Make your own popsicles! I talk at my classes about using V8 Fusion, cutting it in half with water, and freezing in your molds to make your own - much healthier version - of a cool treat for a hot day. I also have a bunch of recipes here How about Sidewalk chalk? 1 Cup Plaster of Paris, 3/4 C water, and powdered Tempera paint (to color them) is all you need! Mix the three together, put in anything from an ice cube tray to Jell-O mold. Let it dry over night and you are ready to decorate the neighborhood! This is non-toxic, let's them MAKE it and then USE it and saves you money. Let there be Bubbles! What little person doesn't like blowing bubbles? You can make a wand out of almost anything from a spatula to wire coat hanger that it bent. Experiment with different shapes, try a compare/contrast eve

Beating the Heat...

Not everyone has a pool in their backyard to take refuge in ... even on these blistering hot days, we have to be careful! It's simply dangerous to be in the pool mid day when it tops 90 degrees - we wait until a little later in the afternoon. What can you do if you DON'T have a pool and are simply too hot? Go to a McDonald's that has a play area. The kids can play their hearts out and you can sip a bottomless large soda for $1. Go to your local public library! The summer reading programs begin today -- but there is SO MUCH MORE there to do! How about catching a movie? I shared the kids summer film series with you already, but we are going for almost FREE! Black Friday I picked up some $25 Marcus Gift cards and with movies only $2 each - one card = 12 tickets! Hit the stores. This one is dangerous if you have no self control and could find yourself taking advantage of all the sales out there. Try to stick to the main malls - the center areas only. Take a good book
