Magazine Challenge part 2
I now know that I COULD have shared my 30 journey with you for the challenge that All You magazine put out there. My paperwork is all in and awaiting review, it is entirely too munch info for one post so, I will give it to you in weekly summaries. Here is my second week:
All You Grocery Challenge
Sunday, June 27th
Breakfast: Strawberry & banana crepes, skim milk
Lunch-out with my in-laws (Avenue Bar)
Baked chicken, dressing, baked potato, green salad, ice water (Sarah shared with me and had apple sauce), Andy had a veggie omelet and milk
Snack: popcorn
Dinner! Lentil Sloppy Joes on wheat buns, Greek salad (traded a pack of French bread with neighbor for the salad)
Monday, June 28th
Breakfast: Breakfast cookies, Orange Juice
Lunch: Chicken & mushroom crepes (using left over chicken from Sunday’s lunch and crepe shells from Sunday Breakfast)
Snack: peach smoothies
Dinner! grilled pork tenderloin, ramen coleslaw (made a double batch)
Tuesday, June 29th
Breakfast: Cold Cereal, skim milk
Lunch: egg salad open face on French bread, grapes
Snack: cheese and crackers
Dinner! Beef enchiladas with corn

• 10 packs Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice
• 1 gallon skim milk
• 4 8oz packs chunk cheese

Wednesday, June 30th
Breakfast: Cold Cereal, skim milk
Lunch: egg salad open face on French bread, grapes
Snack: yogurt
Dinner! Grilled dinner: Brats on wheat buns, steamed corn on the cob, s’mores.

Thursday, July 1st
Breakfast: breakfast cookies, grapes, orange juice
Lunch: cold plate: string cheese, whole grain crackers, yogurt, strawberries
Snack: Taco Bell Fruitista Freeze (free coupon)
Dinner! Pepperoni, onion & mushroom English muffin pizzas, fresh lemonade
Friday, July 2nd
Breakfast: cold cereal and the last of the cantaloupe
Lunch: Sarah’s Pick! Peanut butter and Homemade jam on wheat bread…chilled grapes and the last of the lemonade
Snack: blueberry smoothies!
Dinner! Mu Shu Chicken with rice flour pancakes
Saturday, July 3rd
Breakfast: biscuits, eggs, sausage and gravy with orange juice
Lunch: Fridge Clean Out! Sarah had spaghetti and I had Enchiladas
Snack: frozen grapes
Dinner! Tuna Salad Croissants, tomato soup
****Grocery Shopping Today (Copp’s Double Coupon day)
Got:
• 1 40 oz Heinz Ketchup
• 1 Kraft Ranch Salad Dressing
• 3 Boxes Ritz Crackerfulls
• 1 Finish Dishwashing detergent**
• 4 pack croissants from the bakery
• 2 Oscar Meyer hot dog packs (to take to the pool party tomorrow)
• 2# bananas
• Strawberries
• 1 gallon skim milk
Spent $8.69 Saved $29.18 (77%)
** = NON-food items counted in total
So this ends week two, I have spent $19.01 this week and we have eaten pretty well! I do believe that we have come in at about 25% of the allotted budget this week making it a grand total of $56.57 so far or 63% under budget!
