So this ends the four week challenge!
We COULD have spend $300, but only spent $64.52 - and that included about $9 of non food items! (81.6% under budget)!!
This falls under my normal budget of $100, but that also includes personal care and pet items. This challenge DID get me to become a little more creative with our meals instead of being in the “same old rut” that is so easy to fall into. I used my stock pile, occasional food swapping and took better advantage of leftovers. During this challenge period I also brought items to parties, packed a lot of food for the family vacation and had fun letting my 4 year old daughter help.
This has been a lot of fun to participate in!
