A Review- Summer Fun

Early June, I shared a huge list of things we planned to do this summer. This is my accountability check for what I had on it and what I might have added to it as summer is now officially over as school has started!

So here was our list:
*swimming (done a bunch so far)
*make popsicles (did it a few times!)
*library and bookstore reading programs (We are only doing Half Price Books!)
*Going to the Dells with our Russian Girl Dasha--thinking Circus World and Devil's lake - (Dasha has come and gone - we never got to this)
*Going to Branson (had fun!)
*Going to the Voss's cabin with my inlaws (Had a nice time and ate WAY too much!)
*crafting (making a red white blue 8x8 album for the Dasha to take home)- Album done - she just loved it!
*make homemade ice cream (I got a machine free from TW a few years ago and we didn't use it ONCE last summer and found a pretty cool recipe for SnickerDoodle Ice Cream to try!!)We *MIGHT* try the ice cream in a bag recipe! - It was yummy! I will share the recipe a little later...
*homemade bubbles with dish soap and white corn syrup (Did it - a huge hit!)
*we did a few single day activities thru the local Parks N Rec department(She just loved them all)
*summer karate lessons for Sarah(she really liked these and we will do them this fall)
*Visit the local county fair - we did the Dane County fair as a family
*a few family cookouts/pool parties (had a few...)
*4th of July parade - SOOOO hot but we did a pool party after it and cooled down!
*Concerts on the square (free) --missed it!
*health club 3x week (they have a GREAT kid's play area)...um, I could be a LOT better here...but HAVE had some sort of movement for my body every day!
*Tuesday mornings at the park with her preschool friends (a Drop in thing)A few times
*Crafty Kids thru the library - never made it, we were just too crafty at home, LOL!
*Make sun catchers - saving these for a rainy day
*Go to the Farmers Market - Never did it! Saturdays all seemed to be full of some other activity...
*Go to Greek Fest - had our gyro and baklava!
*Go to Corn Fest - we went, we ate, we watched the dancers...
*garage sale weekend (failed miserably)
*visit from my big sissy -- Just friggin' AWESOME!

How did YOUR list end up?

In hindsight, I had a VERY long list...but it gave us things to talk about and look forward to. This fall will be another, much shorter list.

Ms Sarah has Kindergarten five days a week...Saturday is ballet and Sunday School follows that. She has something every day, unless school is off for some reason.

1) We have looked at the parks N rec guide that is to come out shortly and will try adding Karate and two seasonal classes: Turkey Trot and Cookies for Santa.
2) We will miss library story times this year as we went in the mornings and she is now in school - we might catch a few evening sessions.
3) The holiday cookies that we will make together at home and for gifts...that should round our next few months out and yet, still give us time to breath.

What are you looking forward to this fall? The pumpkin patches? Apple picking? Christmas Shopping? Weekend Crops with the girls? (Yes, I have a few of those planned for my personal sanity breaks...)
