Catching my eye this week at the stores...
I don't know about you, but I am getting a little sick of Cuties -- we have had them for almost three weeks now, much to my 4 year olds delight. I don't see anything but citrus and onions on the price point I look for so it's time to dig into the freezer and make smoothies and compotes this week with the frozen fruit I have stocked up on.
I still have my mouth watering for "pigs in a blanket" with the little smokies - but haven't seen them hit my price point yet...they come to just over $2.40 with a doubled coupon - unless I can stack it with something else.
Hillshire Farms Lit’l Smokies $3.50
Buy 1 and use $0.55/1 Hillshire Farms Lit’l Smokies printable or
Buy 2 and use $.75/2 from 12/5 Red Plum insert
Final price: As low as $2.40 after doubled coupon
Nothing in the world of frozen food excites me - we have a full freezer that I have been adding 1-2 meals to nightly as I package up my leftovers.
Dairy Case Deals - all I need is milk...
Grocery Deals - I will check out the Ortega deals to beef up my Mexican dishes but am fine on most shelf staples.
Ortega Refried Beans $1.25
Buy 2 and use $1/2 Ortega printable
Final price: $0.25 each after doubled coupon
Ortega Taco Sauce $1.50
Buy 2 and use $1/2 Ortega printable
Final price: $0.50 each after doubled coupon
I am not thrilled at the new P&G deal
Buy $25 of select Proctor & Gamble Products Using Your Roundy’s Card, Get $5 off your next shopping trip.
Must-read notes before you do this deal:
— Be sure to have the cashier scan your Roundy’s loyalty card so that you get this deal
— The $25 is calculated AFTER manufacturer’s coupons. In my opinion, it is difficult to get an amazing deal when you have to use the final price after coupon. On that note, I suspect, but cannot confirm that the $25 needs to be reached after the face value of the coupon is taken off versus after the doubled value of the coupon is considered. I guess this because P&G foots the bill for the face value of the coupon and Roundy’s is footing the bill for the double, but I could be wrong so proceed at your own risk.
— Limit one checkout coupon per shopping visit. This means that you should not do this
— $5 off coupon expires 1/15/11
It just seems like too much money out to get $5 back...but that is just my opinion, LOL!
