Aldi's prices are on the creep up, like everywhere else. I will check some of the prices on the "master list" when I visit this week to get some fresh fruit.

People are reporting that eggs are jumping to over $1.30 a dozen, Bread, ground beef and more slipping up too, they are still a great place to hit for fresh produce!

Pineapple $1.49 each - Weigh them to get a heavier one!
Bagged Garden Salad $0.69 each for 12-ounce bag.
Cantaloupe $.99 each - Weigh them to get a heavier one!
Strawberries $1.19/#

Cantaloupe, Still just $0.99 each!

Strawberries, $0.99/lb.! They went down $0.20 a pound!
Mangoes, $0.49 each - weigh them: 2 should weigh more than a pound.
Bananas $0.44/#  - higher than normal for them, but better than the rest.

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
