This is kind of an "adopt a family" mission...please keep reading
One of the kindest guys I know has liver and pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing chemo. It is Ms Sarah's Karate teacher.

I don't know the whole story, I think there was disability involved from his "real" job, but teaching Karate was their family's main income. His wife takes care of her older, disabled mother and their daughter who graduates high school this year and now, Clip. His second daugter is getting married in July, their third daughter is due any day now with the third grandchild. Only the youngest one lives with them.
They are struggling financially thru all of this and some of us have been taking meals over. The ladies can eat anything, but he is limited to mashed potatoes, jello, popsicles, etc - pretty bland as the chemo is making him very sick.

I am asking you local stockpile queens - to pull a few things from your stash and simply drop them off. If you are out of the area and you want to help, gas cards could really be used as they are driving a lot, back and forth to the doctor appointments. It takes a while to get the ball rolling when you need assistance, which leaves you pretty screwed in the duration.

If you put your address down, she will write you a thank you note...so don't. She has been trying to write them every time we drop stuff off - and won't stop, LOL. It's an added expense that they really can't afford right now - know what I mean? Just put Op 40K in the return address - and we all will know that it was us, who pulled together to help. It's simple way to live the message in the book of Hebrews from the bible: hospitality for strangers.
