My Copps Plan for Saturday's Double Double Day
This is a rough plan for what I am after this Saturday at the store.
Transaction #1
2 packs of hot dogs @$2 (for the picnic)
Using 2 $1/1 coupons that will double to make them free
2 bags Temptations cat treats @$ (no clue - I think they are $2.25 a bag)
Using 2 $1/1 coupons that will double to make them almost free
2 Nivea Lip Care @ $1
Using a $1/2 Nivea Lip Care printable (Facebook offer)
Free after doubled coupon
1 package Angel Soft TP (smallest they have)
Using a $1/1 coupon that will double to make it almost free
Kraft Singles $2
Using a $.75/1 coupon that will double to make it just $.50
Newman’s Own Lemonade $1.50
using the "Like them on Facebook for a $1/1 Newman’s Own printable"
better than FREE after doubled coupon
Pepperidge Farm Layer Cake @ $2
Using the $.55/1 coupon that will make it $1.10 when doubled
2-3 Artichokes at $1 -- weigh them to get the heavier ones.
Should be about $5 -- I will use about $4 in RR
Transaction #2
3 packs of hot dogs @$2 (for the picnic)
Using 3 $1/1 coupons that will double to make them free
1 package Angel Soft TP (smallest they have)
Using a $1/1 coupon that will double to make it almost free
Kraft Singles $2
Using a $.75/1 coupon that will double to make it just $.50
Ritz Crackerfuls, $2.50
Use $1/1 Ritz Crackerfuls from 4/17 Smart Source insert
Final price: As low as $0.50 after doubled coupon
Pepperidge Farm Layer Cake @ $2
Using the $.55/1 coupon that will make it $1.10 when doubled
PowerBar Harvest, Triple Threat, Performance, Fruit Smoothie or Nut Naturals $1.00
Buy 2 and use Buy One, Get One Free from 5/1 Smart Source insert
Final price: $0.50 each after coupon
2 Pepsi $5.99 24 pack (for the picnic)
Using the $2/2 coupon in the 5/1 paper
to make them $4.99 each ($.20/can)
I still have three more coupons to figure out...I have more cat treat coupons - depending on the price, that might be my filler.
Using $8 RR - it should come to about $8
***The hot dogs and soda will come off my grocery budget as they are part of the Tupperware team incentive budget, as they are being used for the family picnic that we throw our team every year. As the hot dogs are going to be FREE, that just leaves the $9.98 for the soda.

That's it -- I think, LOL! I will have my coupon box with me to punt.
What are YOU after?
What coupon do you have for hot dogs??
ReplyDeletewhat do you mean RR? walgreens RR's?
ReplyDeleteI am after the classico pasta sauces cuz there were $1 peelies on the creamette curly pastas i bought the last time they had them on sale for 10/$ 10 :)
It is an Oscar Mayer $1/1 peelie that was on packages I bought last fall.
ReplyDeleteI bought THOSE hot dogs with coupons from my Oscar Mayer House Party, so I saved the Qs.
=)
Yes, RR = Walgreen's Register Rewards
ReplyDeleteGood deal on the sauces!
=)
So, the Sun Prairie Copps stores allow you to use Register Rewards that are from Walgreens? I did not know they did that?
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Sun Prairie Copps allow you to use buy 1 get 1 free coupons. I tried to use those Power Bar coupons at the Copps on Junction Rd. and they told me they did not accept 'free' coupons there.
Staci - according to their policy: no IP coupons for FREE items.
ReplyDeleteThere was an incident two Thanksgivings ago with FREE Turkey coupons out there -- shocker: they were fake. A lot of stores were hung for that $10-20 per bird.
A BOGO isn't a FREE coupon and they should have let it go thru, unless they just changed their policy. I will ask tomorrow!
I have their policy posted here: http://operation40k.blogspot.com/p/store-double-coupon-policies.html
Staci - part two: Wags RR are Manufacturer's coupons, it's printed right across the top of them. It is NOT a Walgreen's coupon, but says "redeemable at Walgreen's".
ReplyDeleteIt is also Redeemable at Copp's, Cubs, Sentry, etc.
Since they only have a two week window to use them...I occasionally use them up at the store.
hi Dannelle,
ReplyDeletehow do you know when it's going to be a double double day. i looked at the store website for the copps nearest to us, the Shorewood one, and i couldn't figure it out. for example, tomorrow, is it only on a few Copps? or is it all of them?
thanks!
wow i wonder if aberg avenue copps will take RR's.. have you ever tried there?
ReplyDeleteKathryn - it was tricky this week: it wasn't in the weekly ad as a Double Double day -- but was on the Copps.com website. (Not the specific store site, the main site) On the first page where the info scroll bar is, if you wait, it will come up.
ReplyDeleteIf in doubt, just give your store a call
=)
Once in a while, you get a newer cashier who sees the Walgreen's on it and says "no". Just be polite and point out the words "Manufacturer Coupon" and ask them to try it.
ReplyDeleteIt goes thru
:)
cool! will try that someday lol. I still need to roll them in the next few weeks :D
ReplyDeleteWill the $1 RR's double? thanks for your advice!
Yes, the $1 RRs double
ReplyDelete=)
