Fun Thing To Do This Weekend!

Come and experience Sun Prairie's Award Winning 4th annual Park Crawl event on Sunday, September 25 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM. Park Crawl was created for the community to come out and explore Sun Prairie's parks while enjoying fun, family-oriented activities!
Raffle Tickets
Earn Raffle Tickets at each location which can be turned in at the festival for some big prizes! Bring a canned food donation to one of the parks listed to earn additional raffle tickets. (Goes to the Sun Prairie Food Pantry).

Concessions
Concessions will be available for purchase at the festival. Proceeds will benefit the Sun Prairie Parks and Recreation department.

Schedule of Events
1:00 - 3:30 PM - Family events at the following parks: Carriage Hills Park hosted by Sun Prairie Area School District &  the Colonial Club, Stoneridge Estates Park hosted by Prairie Athletic Club &  Sun Prairie Library, and Renstone Park hosted by the YMCA &  the Boy Scouts. Meet at one of these locations and a shuttle will be available to take you to the other locations!

3:00 - 5:00 PM - A festival will be held at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. Face painting, balloons, fun games, a bounce house, and Zumba!

4:45 PM - Raffle Drawing

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
