Walmart - Sample Size List

WHY buy samples?
  • Sometimes, it's easier to TRY one brand, before you have a lot of full sized items in hand - that you end up not liking.
  • They are often FREE when you use coupons
  • They are great for traveling
  • They are great in care packs for homeless ministries or food pantries
That all being said, you have to stop by WeUseCoupons some time - a TON of helpful information there like this list from Cindy. Its a rough inventory of the sample items at Walmart. You CAN use coupons on those, as long as they don't say "no trial sizes". Most of them will give you some OVERAGE that you can apply to fresh produce or dairy...making those items FREE too!

Here is an example:
20 Dove deodorant @$.97, using 20 $1/1 coupons = $.60 in overage! That = about two pounds of bananas for FREE! (I dontate the deodorant)

I am starting to pay more attention to Walmart as the one in my town is going to become a SUPER Center next year - taking it from almost NO food to a full grocery store!

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
