NEW Giveaway!!!! Cleaning Chemical Free
One thing that drives me crazy when I see pictures of people's stockpiles are the shelves and shelves of cleaning products! It's a multi billion dollar industry...people spend hundreds of dollars a year on disposable cleaning products and harmful chemicals and they aren't needed!
Don't get me wrong - I am happy that they clean their homes, but cringe at the stuff they buy and use.
First of all -- cleaners are like produce, they have a shelf life.
You can test this out yourself by writing the date on a new bottle of Windex and tucking it away for two years.
The color fades and the smell gets worse-- it will leave amazing streaks and make your glass stink until it is rewashed.
Now, let's talk about the toxic effect on your immediate environment...YOU know things are harmful to you:
bleach, ammonia, etc.
Now think of the little people or pets in your life.
They are 10 times more sensitive that adults --
those same chemicals do a lot more damage to those
little systems that aren't fully developed enough to cope.
It even hurts your pets...
It even hurts your pets...
What can you do?
Clean chemical free!
All you really need in your cleaning kit is:
- Distilled White Vinegar
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Baking Soda
- Borax
- Washing Soda
- Water
- lemon juice
- microfiber towels
Let's start with the Microfiber --
A lot of people really don't know what it is!
Microfiber is an incredibly thin fiber made from blending polyester and polymide. This combination is woven into an incredible soft, absorbent and durable product which is perfect for cleaning and polishing. Unlike the rounded fibers of ordinary cloths like cotton, Tupperware microfibers are split 16 times creating wedges all around that draw dirt, oil and liquid into the core of the fiber. Not all microfiber is created equal!
--IT SHOULD be extremely absorbent...making it perfect for applications like cleaning up spills, drying dishes, and more.
--IT SHOULD be unbelievably durable...so you can tackle the toughest cleaning jobs with confidence!
--IT SHOULD be incredibly soft...which means that while it does all of those tough jobs, it won't scratch any surface!
Use them dry to dust or sprinkle the dirty surface with a little water and wipe to a streak free shine. If it's got a little grime...add a little lemon juice to that water! (It smells nice too!)
Microfiber Towels $ave…
• Healthier… reduce/eliminate harsh chemical cleaners! Use water and a little lemon juice!
• Time… absorbs up to eight times its weight in water!
• Streak and lint free shine!
• Money… Less cleaners and no paper towels! Use one less roll of paper towels a week - save approximately $100/yr and 1/2 a million trees!
This saves you money, reduces your carbon footprint on this environment as you do your part to preserve our future for the future generations to come and detoxifies your living space!
What a great tri-fecta that you can control!
=)
Of course I think the Tupperware Towels/sponges are the best, once we came out with them, I did my own test against the ones I had been currently using and they have won hands down! They have even held up better with constant use than the three different brand "X" I had! (which we blessed to someone else with Freecycle)
I am giving away a COMPLETE SET of Tupperware MicroFiber Towels...good luck!!!
Great giveaway! I'd never thought about how important the type of cloth I use is. I will definitely check these out.
