Crock Pot Alert!
OK -- truth be told, I HAD to buy a new crock pot because I killed mine over the weekend. (sigh)
I dropped the lid, which hit a metal table base and shattered into a bajillion pieces. Of course, my model was no longer made and and I couldn't just get a new top! I can NOT live without a crock pot -- I use it weekly!!!!
The hubster caught the Farm & Fleet's ad this week that showed a 6 Qt Hamilton Beach that was on sale for $19.99 (normally $32.99)
You can see it online HERE
Great price -- and it looks a LOT better than the 5Qt for $14.88 that I almost picked up at Walmart! SO, if you are looking for a new Crock Pot -- it's a great price! I don't expect to see any better on Black Friday.

Just a side note, I needed a new crock pot a while ago because the lid broke also. However, after reading all the online reviews for all the new crock pots (all brands, check amazon.com), they all seemed to be flawed somehow. The new ones with a rubberized seal are especially bad as the seal can heat up and cause bad odors. Also, the programmable ones are prone to malfunctioning. Make sure to read the reviews on whatever you buy. Sometimes they sell them CHEAP to get rid of them!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou CAN get lids for older crock pots online, but you have to hunt around (i.e. ebay) and get them used. Danelle, I hope yours is a good one!
