My local ad features a lot of gift ideas this week - Heated Massagers, Snuggle Up Wraps, ets.

Also more baking items this week -- pretty par for the name brands at the other stores this week.
Example: Baker's Corner Cake Mix $.99 a box and Pillsbury is $.99 a box at most stores....but coupons make the name brands cheaper.
They still have the holiday dinner items like:
  • Butter $1.99/#
  • Appleton Farms Spiral Sliced Half Hams $1.69 (ave 8# each)
  • Whole Butterball Turkey's $1.09/# (10-20#)
  • Grade A Large Eggs $.99
Here are this week's produce deals:

Bananas $.44/#
Navel Oranges $1.49/# in a 4# bag
Gala Apples $1.99 for a 3# bag
Pears $1.49 for a 2# bag
Clementines $1.49 for a 2# bag - $.50 less than last week.

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
