DOUBLE DOUBLE DAY is back on 12/17 !!

I have had a few people ask -- what did you get at Copp's This week.

Nothing.

We are eating up the chest freezer and making room for the big sales early this spring, and, I have spent the majority of my monthly budget already on the sales at the Cub Foods stores...leaving me about $30 left.

I will have to get milk and bread this week...but that is less than $5 between the two.

I was also holding out for another DOUBLE DOUBLE Day at the Roundy's stores and thank you Lynelle H for sharing the fact that you saw the sign today while shopping! What does that mean?

It means that they will double TEN coupons, up to a $1 value, per $25 transaction...
taking your $25 down to $5 or less, depending on the sales!
When you do 6 transactions, that is up to $120 in FREE groceries! (10x$1 - doubled, x 6 transactions)

I have a bunch of $1/1 Cuties coupons for Clementines...and POM coupons....
I will have to see what else I can dig up to play with that day.
It really depends on what the ad is for the week.
I am hoping that the Cuties will be $4 or less for a 5# box...
that $1/1 doubled would make them $2 or less - and a STEAL.
Seriously, Miss Sarah could eat 3 of those a day!

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
