Today's Shopping Tip: Clipping Services

I mention these in my coupon class - that another way to get a lot of coupons is to "buy them".
I still find this funny as it is illegal to "sell" them -- so clipping services call it a "clipping fee" instead of saying that it cost you X amount for certain coupons.

THIS is the secret to the shoppers you see on TV who have 7 carts full of stuff and head to the check out lane! They have contacted a clipping service and stocked up on the coupons for their favorite items, that they know will be "money makers" for them when combined with a sale and a double coupon day.

If you have a $1 coupon, that is doubled, and you paid a $.12 "clipping fee" for it, you come out $1.88 ahead. This can really work in your favor AND is also helpful if you only see one or two coupons in the Sunday edition that interest you. Getting them for $.20-.30 is less expensive than buying that $2.00 paper.

Clipping services are also your friend if you did NOT get a few extra coupons of a certain item and all of a sudden, it shows up on a huge sale! It makes it easy to follow store ad match ups too -- if you are a relatively new couponer who doesn't have that SmartSource insert from 2 months ago.

Here are links to the most popular sites -- all ship pretty quickly, communicate well, and most take Paypal.
