Target :  If you have a fan of Campbell’s Spaghettios in your house, than you will want to look for the same sale that I found going on at my store. Thru 6/11, the Original Spaghettios are just 50¢. There are no mainstream coupons that I know of, but it’s like getting them for almost 50% off, even without a coupon. While it is possible for sales to vary by region, even if you don’t see a sign, it’s worth a quick price check at the scanner just in case! (Thanks Totally Target!) **If you see the Eat This, Not That books, they like Spaghettios over Mac N Cheese as it has less fat and a full serving of veggies in every can. Good books to check out at the library, the next time you are there.  :)

What kinds of coupons do you accept: Manufacturer's? Printables? eCoupons? Any "normal" clipped coupons, for IPs only up to $1, no Ecoupons (downloaded to your phone) Do you exclude any coupons? Ex: above $5 off, BOGO offers, coupons for free products? Only if they are IPs. A "normal" clipped coupon will be accepted for those items. If the coupon exceeds the value of the product, do you adjust the price of the coupon down? Ex: $1 off coupon on a $.97 product. NO. You get overage What is your policy on overage (when the value of the coupon exceeds the value of the product)? Yes. If something is on sale for $.75 - and you have a $1 coupon, you will get that bonus $.25 off your other items. Do you limit the number of coupons I may use per transaction? No. You can Stack coupons (use 1 manufacturers and 1 store coupon on the same item) and use 1 manufacturer's coupon per item in your cart. If you have 20 bottles of ketchup, you can use 20 ketchup coupons...

I just talked to Kelley and they DO take Walgreen's Register Rewards. At first she tried to tell me they didn't and explained how they work. I politely cut her off after 3-4 sentences and let her know that I understand as I teach the class :) I then asked if there was a manager I could talk to - and she got the front lead. As long at the word ONLY isn't on there: ONLY redeemable at Walgreen's, and they say MANUFACTURER COUPON , then they will take them. If you have ANY trouble there, just ask for the Front End Lead or Manager on duty. For those of you that had an experience with an employee who was RUDE to you - their name should be on your receipt. You need to call the store and report it as there is NO REASON for them to be rude to you! As long as we are polite, know what we are talking about - rude is totally uncalled for!!! Hugs! Dannelle

Many schools are wrapping up for the season and it's the beginning of summer vacation! Here are a few fun, frugal things you can do, to keep them engaged and entertained. Make your own popsicles! I talk at my classes about using V8 Fusion, cutting it in half with water, and freezing in your molds to make your own - much healthier version - of a cool treat for a hot day. I also have a bunch of recipes here How about Sidewalk chalk? 1 Cup Plaster of Paris, 3/4 C water, and powdered Tempera paint (to color them) is all you need! Mix the three together, put in anything from an ice cube tray to Jell-O mold. Let it dry over night and you are ready to decorate the neighborhood! It's the beginning of a new week! In my coupon class, I teach people how to save money at the stores. That is half of the equation for saving money on food, meal planning is the other half to it. You have to USE the food you have brought home and not let yourself make the "fast food run" - those add up fast and kill your budget! There is now a sign on the door that posted coupons are only available if you make a purchase. I caught that as I was leaving, but DID buy some gum so it was all good, LOL! Sad to say, if you follow the futures market , prices are going to jump this summer.  They have a few simple reasons: world wide severe crop destroying weather with massive flooding, droughts, freezes and tornados this spring. Rising gas prices. Supply and demand. The fact that we are competing with animals and fuel for our grain supply. Grain has gone up and will continue to do so, so has corn. This is fed to a lot of animals we eat - and that price will go up too. The items that use grain will go up: think cereals, crackers, breads. When the price of animals go up, so does dairy. Think about it:  the dairy is feed the same higher priced feed, resulting in a more expensive end product. (sigh) That means milk, eggs, butter, cheese and yogurt. Now comes produce. Freezes late in the spring hurt crops in Florida, Mexico, etc. Tomatoes were hit hard! You will see less and less of them when you go out to eat - restaurants are removing them from menu items and making them an add...
