Fun Things To Do With The Kids This Weekend
A lot of fun stuff this weekend -- it's a nice change from last week!
Saturday 2/4
FREE hands-on workshops designed for children ages 5 - 12 offered the 1st Saturday of every month at all The Home Depot stores between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
--Workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment. All kids get to keep their craft and receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement. For Feb it is the Valentine's Keepsake Box
Super Saturday Story time - at Barn's N Noble Bookstore (10:30 AM - 11:15 AM)
Super Saturday Imagination Story time is on the first and third Saturday of each month and begins at 10:30am. It's an amazing adventure for children and their family to take together!

Every Saturday October thru May - Overture Center for the Arts
Overture Center offers free arts programs designed for children and families at 9:30 AM, 11 AM and 1 PM. The popular performing arts series for children and families offers a relaxed, kid-friendly environment in which to enjoy a diverse lineup of local and regional musicians, storytellers, jugglers, theater troupes, magicians and dancers.
The 1 PM performances are sign language interpreted. Kids in the Rotunda takes place on the Rotunda Stage. This week-- The Bluegrass Music of the The Okee Dokee Brothers .
Marcus Kids Dream Winter Film Series
10AM : Grab the family and head to your nearest participating Marcus Theatre® location and watch The Smurfs for just $2 each! All titles will be shown in standard 2D only.
Visit the UW Geology Museum
1215 W. Dayton St., 262-2399, http://www.geologymuseum.org/ (Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free.) —Besides its extensive mineral, rock and fossil collections behind glass, kids can touch rocks from a time when there were volcanoes in Wisconsin, see rocks and minerals that glow, and stand under huge mastodon tusks. Great for those like my daughter who want to be a Paleontologist!
