My Saturday Double Double Daze Plan

I have already told ya that March 3rd is DOUBLE Double Daze, where Copp's and Pick N Save will double TEN coupons, up to a $1 value, per transaction.

I have preordered 80 boxes of pasta and 30 packs of tuna. I simply needed to fill in with a few other things to make my 6 transaction plan for Saturday and have it (and my envelopes ready)
 
A LOT of items to donate this time - we are sitting pretty for the moment at our house so I can get minimal items for us.
So here is my plan so far:
Transaction #1
  • 20 StarKist Tuna Packs @$1.19 (was $1.49) -
  • 1 pack flour @$1.28
$25.08 -- use ten $.75/2 coupons, $5.99 in Catalinas/Register Rewards
Pay $4.09 OOP

Transaction #2
  • 20 Barilla Pasta @$1.15
  • Milk @$2.29
$25.29 -- use ten $1/2 coupons, $3.49 milk Cat
Pay $1.80 OOP

Transaction #3
  • 20 Barilla Pasta @$1.15
  • flour @$1.28**original price of flour is over $2
$24.28 -- use ten $1/2 coupons, $1.99 RR
Pay $2.29 OOP

Transaction #4
  • 20 Barilla Pasta @$1.15
  • flour @$1.28 **original price of flour is over $2
$24.28 -- use ten $1/2 coupons, $1.99 RR
Pay $2.29 OOP

Transaction #5
  • 20 Barilla Pasta @$1.15

$28.64 -- use five $.75/2 tuna, four $1/1 pb, $1/3 coffee (doubled), $1.99 RR
Pay $1.65 OOP and get a $2 Catalina back from the coffee
 
Grand total: $152.25 for $12.41, saving 92%
Most of my items are pre-ordered, and I am donating coffee, 2/3 the tuna and the pasta.

Now helping my Mom with HER list....mebbe I will share that too

    Where are you getting the tuna coupons from? I could only get 1 from Facebook. Are you finding them somewhere else as well?

      There are tear pads out there for $.75/2 by the tuna displays at most Copp's stores. I had five (I don't like picking up more than that) and a friend mailed me 10 that she had gotten
      :)
      That gave me a bonus 20 packs for the food pantry!

      For transaction 3, 4 & 5 how do you get the coupons doubled if total is under $25? Or am I missing something?

      Because the original price of the flour is over $2.00 - it goes by SHELF price, not sale price

    Dannelle, what is involved with pre-ordering? Is it too late for me to preorder stuff for a Saturday sale? How often do they get trucks in? Can you post a blog article about this sometime? Thanks!

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
