Monthly Budget Wrap Up
$100.00-$7.90 for Sarah to have school lunch 1x week
-$3.18 Walgreen's
-$2.59 Milk$86.33 to go
-$3.47 Copps 5/9$82.86 to go - and I plan to hit Aldi this week for produce!
-13.65 Aldi/Target$69.21 to go
-$2.11 Burger King Chocolate Shake $67.10 to go
-36.40 Copps today
$30.70 to go and 12 days... I really only see us getting Milk, Bread, Eggs and Fruit over the next week or two, we are VERY well stocked in this house, LOL!
We WERE well stocked and I didn't go shopping until yesterday at Aldi's.
:)
I spent $29.87 --- about $16 more than I planned as I was surprised by that killer sale on boneless, skinless chicken breast. I TRIED to walk away...but my body wouldn't let me, LOL!
I scored 5# red potatoes, 1# lemons, 1# tomatoes on the vine, 1# baby carrots, 6oz Blueberries (muffins and pancakes on the agenda!), cream cheese, chunk Colby cheese (for tuna pasta salad), sour cream, gallon milk and 19.6 pounds of chicken. I figure the chicken runs $4.25/# normally in this area and I saved just over 80% on this sale (you will see another post about how it it in process of becoming 40 meals for us!).
We DID go out to eat twice in that time frame: Owl's Nest for fish and Applebee's but used gift certificates/cards from our stash. Applebee's was like a Two-fer as we had lunch off the HUGE portions the next day
:)
I even treated Miss Sarah and her friend to McDonald's Happy Meals on Sunday, before we went swimming - but had two "Be Our Guest" cards to use up. (I had my FREE Cherry frozen drink thing from them).
So, $30.70 - $29.87 = $.83 under budget for the month!
