What to shop for in June

Everyone knows that produce is seasonal...if you have taken my Coupon Clipping 101 class you have heard me talk about pantry items being seasonal too!

In January I covered the New Year's Resolution items, February was
National Canned food month, March was National Frozen food month, and we saw
Easter Clearance items in April. May kicked off BBQ season! We know it's smart to wait until a product is on sale and then stock up!

The idea is to create a stockpile that will last you 3-12 months, or until the product again reaches its lowest price. (Not that you can do that with fresh produce unless your process it!)

Convenience/Packaged Foods are seasonal just like produce!
Every month we have new things to look for. Here is what is "hot" for May - keep your eyes out for the sales and have your coupons ready.

It's National Dairy Month!
Everything from Eggs to Butter should be on sale...think Whipped Cream, Cheese, Yogurt and more! There are usually great STORE coupons that you can stack with the Manufacturer coupons! Keep in mind that you can freeze almost everything but sour cream. Keep in mind that July is National Ice Cream month -- so you may not see rock bottom prices on it in June.
:)

As the month winds down, you will also see some things going on sale for the 4th of July. More BBQ stuff like: Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, BBQ Sauce, Ketchup, condiments, charcoal, salad dressing, potato chips, dips. These sales won't be as good as they were in May, but can help you fill in if you missed out on something.

I hope this helps you know what to keep and eye out for!
=)
Happy shopping!
