Quick Shopping: $9.28 for 25 items...

I mentioned before that we didn't really needed anything but I had a few Catalina's that were going to expire... Miss Sarah is still pretty sick, and I am not feeling the hottest, so it was a quick, one shot visit to the store. She LOVES rainbow sherbet when she is under the weather - so that threw me off a bit - not on sale and no coupon. (gasp!)
It was worth the $4.15 to see her smiling as she was snuggled into the couch watching Barbie movies.

I ran a little contest on our FB page - an one hundred dollar coupon envie for the person who could guess what I paid - (Stacy H wone!) Here is the 25 item summary:

--Coupons used $1/2 grands, (3) $1/1 Oreos, $1/1 Nestle, (3) $1/4 IttiBitz, (2) $1/1 Oreo Fudge Cream, (2) $.25 IttiBitz (2)$.25 Oreo, $3.50 milk voucher, (2) $3.00 Juice Vouchers, $1.25 egg voucher - that didn't get scanned, I called the store. I would have caught that but I was in a rush for a sick kiddo. 

$53.61 for $9.28 (should have been $8.03)
I saved 85%.

Cookies and juice are to donate, the IttiBiz are for the neighborhood kids and you will see soon what I am going to do with the Ice Cream sandwiches!

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
