Christmas Craft Countdown: Lace Candles

CandlesToday means there are 56 days days until we get the big visit from St Nicholas.

Now, don't panic!
To try and help you, we have put together a list of great stuff to help you count down to the big event.
  • There will be 31 different crafts that you still have time to make, for gifts, in October.
  • There will be 30 different cookie recipes, that you can gather ingredients to bake, off in November.
  • There will be 24 different things you can add to your family holiday traditions in December - to help keep the Christ in Christmas.

I found this gem Eddie Ross - he is big into putting down lace and spray painting items! That is what was done here - candles wrapped with paper that was covered in lace and then sprayed.

BEAUTIFUL - right?

Just one quick tip: pick candles that have no scent if you are using them as gifts. Over 10% of the population has a bad reaction to scented candles. Nothing like the gift that triggers a migraine - right?

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
