December Daily - Magic "ELF" Dust

I had someone on our facebook page, pose an EXCELLENT question: How do you clean this up ,since your not allowed to touch him? My kids keep me and their little brother at a 2 foot safety radius around the darn thing , they're afraid we might touch him and he'll lose his magic.
Each day, I have been VERY careful to not touch her.
The first day, I lifted her off the table by the syrup bottle.
Bottle and all, she went on the shelf.

The next day, I lifted her off Miss Sarah's recliner by the remote. Remote and all, she went on the shelf.

After the toilet paper mess,
I simply tore off the roll and used that as a "handle" to lift her. Roll and all, she went onto the shelf.
Now, what happens if your elf is accidentally touched?
Magic Elf Dust to the rescue!

We DO want to teach our little people about consequences but don't want to make them feel horrible about killing their elf's magic or putting them into the "elf hospital" - right?
I know that would make Miss Sarah cry for DAYS......

If your elf is accidentally touched, simply email Santa and ask for some Magic Elf Dust!

You can "mail" it to your family by placing the envelope in your mailbox...make sure the return address is something like:

S.C.
Elf Dust Department
North Pole

Inside your envelope have a very SMALL bag of glitter. Think of the 1 inch by 2 inch craft baggies - or ones that extra buttons come in.

You can sprinkle it on your little elf,  and by nightfall, the magic is fully restored.
{sigh of relief}

I hope this takes the "stress" out of some of this for you and your family ... and you can simply enjoy the fun you can have! Miss Sarah is having such a blast with our elf that she tells everyone in her class about it each day, during their "sharing" time.

Happy "Elfing" ...

Dannelle
