Dayton St., 262-2399,http://www.geologymuseum.org/ (Mon-Fri
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free.) —Besides its extensive
mineral, rock and fossil collections behind glass, kids can touch rocks from a
time when there were volcanoes in Wisconsin, see rocks and minerals that glow,
and stand under huge mastodon tusks. Great for those like my daughter who want
to be a Paleontologist!
