**Remember, Piggly Wiggly stores are independently owned and their ads occasionally don't match up as prices may vary per store. (YMMV). If you shop at Frank's Elkhorn Store - they double up to $.50 every Wednesday - no limit as to how many but, limit of 2 like items.

Keep in mind my suggested price points:
$1/# or less for fresh, seasonal produce

And for meat:
  • $1/# or less for bone in birds and ground turkey
  • $2/# or less for ground beef, boneless skinless chicken, ham and pork
  • $3/# or less for beef roasts and bacon
  • $4/# or less for seafood

      As a heads up regarding Franks Piggly Wiggly, they will not double printable coupons at all and if they do not scan the cashiers are not supposed to key them in manually. Also on Wednesdays you may have to remind the cashier to double the coupons because the registers are not set up for it automatically. Hope this is helpful and saves someone embarrassment at the register since I learned the hard way. Best thing to do is ask for a copy of their coupon policy.

    I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
