Homemade Teething Biscuits

My niece is making ALL of her baby's food, like I did for Miss Sarah.

He is now teething and I picked up this GREAT set of cookie cutters and a garage sale (LOVE Circus things!). I put together another "care" package for them (with foam mats, wood puzzles, some clothes, lots of bibs) and added the cutters and the recipe I used for the homemade biscuits. They have NO sugar and are easy to make -- it only takes a small investment of your time. It makes about a dozen or so, depending on how big you make them.

I can't remember where I originally got the recipe but it was a hit with the little bugger. I hope her kiddo likes it too.

Homemade Teething Biscuits
1 cup flour
1 cup dry infant rice cereal

2 tsp cinnamon
1 ripe medium mashed banana (1/3 cup-you could substitute pureed carrots or sweet potato)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons water
Preheat oven to 425ºF. In a bowl, mix together dry ingredients (flour, cereal and cinnamon).
Add in wet ingredients (oil, banana and water). Mix until dough comes together to form a firm, non-sticky dough. Add water or flour (1 tablespoon at a time) if necessary.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out about a half an inch thick and cut into shapes or bars.
Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes, or until slightly brown.
Allow to cool completely and store in Tupperware.

Fun shapes are entirely optional, but make me happy
:)
