THIS Plus THIS Equals THIS So now, you know what our Valentine's for Miss Sarah's Class look like this year, LOL! Here is how we made the Pops. I bought mini candy canes after the holiday, on clearance. Took them out of the wrappers and placed on a cookie sheet.   Baked them for a few minutes at 300 degrees and added sucker sticks quickly.  Then we let them cool and bagged them up - with curling ribbon too!  Easy Peasy! What are you doing this year?

FFFFFFFFFFFREEEEEEEZING Cold this morning! My car didn't warm up by the time I had gotten to the store as I live too close. The dashboard told me it was a whopping 3 degrees. The joys of winter in Wisconsin, LOL! OK - I wasn't thrilled with the ad this time around and had shared that with you already. But I did something fun - a shopping challenge by a friend for the food pantry! She gave me $20 and wanted to see how much I could get out of it - in items on the list for our church's food pantry. I should have bet lunch or something on this -- she thought I might get 10 things. (She doesn't have very much faith in me, LOL)! OK - here is what I got out of the below summary for the food pantry: 31 boxes of Hamburger Helper (normally $1.79) = $53.94 10 bags cookie mix (normally $2.26) = $22.66 That was $76.60 for $23.40 - but I got back $5.10 on the two FREE veggie oil on the Betty Crocker Cookie promotion...so I am UNDER the $20 and am tossing in Wednesday's

Do you live in Columbus? Would you love Farm Fresh Eggs - at only $1.50 a dozen? I can hook you up! :) My friend Cindy has a farm and layers.....and eggs. We have had her eggs.  Yum! Farm fresh eggs are SO different that what you might be used to - many eggs in the grocery stores are already up to 3 weeks old! Farm fresh eggs are fluffier when scrambled, and taste A-MAZ-ING. I shared my Tossed Taco Salad recipe yesterday and didn't think to share the Taco Seasoning Mix recipe! How rude of me!! Here you go -- SUPER easy to make, it keeps well and saves you money. A set of Tupperware snack cups is easy to set out and make this times four - which is what I do. Taco Seasoning Mix 2 tsp. instant minced onion 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. chili powder ½ tsp. cornstarch ½ tsp. crushed dried red pepper ½ tsp. instant minced garlic or garlic powder ¼ tsp. dried oregano. (to make it spicier - add 1/2 tsp.cumin) Combine all. Place in snack cup. Makes 2 TB. To Use: In a pan combine 1 pound cooked shredded chicken or ground beef/turkey (1.5 - 2 cups gravel), ½ C water, 2 Tbsp seasoning mix. Simmer 4-6 min. Makes 8-10 tacos...burritos...enchiladas...one taco salad...etc.
