Piggly Wiggly Ad Match Up

Image
**Remember, Piggly Wiggly stores are independently owned and their ads occasionally don't match up as prices may vary per store. (YMMV). If you shop at Frank's Elkhorn Store - they double up to $.50 every Wednesday - no limit as to how many but, limit of 2 like items. Keep in mind my suggested price points: $1/# or less for fresh, seasonal produce And for meat: $1/# or less for bone in birds and ground turkey $2/# or less for ground beef, boneless skinless chicken, ham and pork $3/# or less for beef roasts and bacon $4/# or less for seafood Happy Shopping! Thanks to Ashley from Coupons for Wisconsin for the great match up! See it HERE

Sunday Coupon Preview

Image
It looks like there will be only 1 insert in the paper this weekend ... a Smartsource You can check out what coupons are on the national line up -- but keep in mind that we may see slightly different ones in our own area. Want more coupons? Here is an easy way to get them: COUPON CLIPPING SERVICES You can always use a clipping service to get more insert coupons or ones that were not available in your local paper. I recommend these 4 sites Now that the Dollar Tree no longer carries the Sunday paper for $1.00 - it's time to talk discount subscriptions. (sigh) Check it out HERE to see if you have any special offers in your area.

InBox Dollars Revisited

Image
I have talked about Inbox Dollares before -- a great survey site to join and you get paid. Granted, you will never get rich with this.. but can pull $15-25 a week in, which may be a big boost to the family budget. Right now, you get a $5 bonus - just for signing up. You can also make money when you try name brand products and play games online.... or shop online. Check it out!

Survey Wisconsin

Image
My Friend Amy tipped me off to this - a local survey/research company that also does paid product panels. She actually got paid $20 to eat ice cream, LOL! The company is called City Research Solutions, LLC and is located in downtown Janesville. They are recruited by companies from all over looking for customer type feedback so that they can fine tune their products before they place them on the market. They send surveys to complete via email and you can earn "points" that accumulate and you are able to pick gift cards or other merchandise when redeeming your points. You might get a couple surveys a month that take less than 5 minutes to complete. This is rewarded by points. Sometimes these surveys are looking for people who would qualify to come in and be on a panel and give your opinion on it. This is where the money comes in!! If you are picked, they will give you points AND Cash! Depending on the survey, it could be $20 like Amy or over $100. All panels

SERIOUSLY Cutting Your Grocery Costs

Image
One of the biggest questions I get asked, it: "How can you keep a $100 a month grocery budget for the four of you (3 people - 1 cat), that includes your personal care items?" Yes, I am a couponer - but I will share a few tips here BESIDES couponing, that will help you cut your grocery bill in half! 1) Selling cycles. EVERYTHING at the store has a selling cycle. That means there is a HIGH price and a ROCK BOTTOM price over a period of time to purchase that item. It might take a bit to figure out your favorite store's selling cycle but is easy to do if you simply save the weekly ads for a few months. The trick it to find things at the low end of the cycle, add a coupon and purchase it. Here is a quick guideline of what I consider decent prices to pay, combining sale+coupons Dairy: Cheese -- $1.25 for 8 ounces String Cheese -- $1.00 for 6 ounces Sour Cream -- $1.00 for 16 ounces Yogurt (multi-pack) -- $1 (but I aim for free) Yogurt (single cup) -- $.25/individual
