I know -- this isn't the cheapest alternative to soft clothes, adding white vinegar to the washer is more frugal. One simple fact: I can't stand by the washer until that magic cycle and add it. THAT is why I love dryer sheets, LOL! When you are a couponer -- you get these for a lot less than the $9/box price. Maybe it's a Target deal where you get back a $5 gift card when you use a Target Web Coupon and a Manufacturer's coupon. Maybe it's like me where you got a deal at Walgreen's on Register Rewards. No matter what you end up paying, there is one simple trick to make them go even further: Cut them in half! Just like the people who make laundry detergent, these babies have 2-3 times the softening that your clothes really need. Grab a pair of scissors and Viola! Since I originally shared this, there was another great article on the front page of the Wisconsin State Journal las Sunday about this issue: Helping the Homeless. There have even been shoe/boot drives in the area. I thought, with the bitter cold temps and the impending blizzard that this would be another great time to share this. Please keep in mind that as families loose their homes, more children are included in these ranks. No child should ever know the lack of security that comes with this (in my opinion...) It's that time of year again, The Princeton Club is giving us all an incentive to work out and loose weight, by donating to local food pantries! If you are working on shedding that holiday "bonus"  ... please consider just joining us online! There are a LOT of fun changes coming to those of us that live by the capitol of this great state of Wisconsin!   You have heard me talk of HyVee buying Westgate Mall and starting to build their store this spring. There is ANOTHER HyVee store coming too -- in Fitchburg's Orchard Point area. Both should be up and running spring of 2013.   Metcalfe's Sentry is now open at the old Cub Foods West location. They are striving for large changes in the way we look at grocery shopping - like an old fashioned meat counter that packages items for you, as you buy it. No prepackaged meats sitting in a cooler to pick up -- it's a throw back to the old customer service days. (Do you remember what that is -- customer service? We see it so rarely nowadays, ha!). They are open DURING their renovation of the store - and think it should be complete by November of this year.
