Jelly and Jam are not cheap at the stores, but they are full of high fructose corn syrup and artificial preservatives...ick! Using the summer FRESH fruit surplus, you can make jam for pennies on the dollar! I hit Janesville occasionally just to see what they have, and they have some really great deals that would equal a lot FREE without any doubling!

A place to buy meats you may not know about, is your local county fair! The animals are fed a higher quality food than lot raised animals, and are exercised daily by their 4-H or FFA raisers. As these are all non profit organizations, the donations to them are tax deductable! This includes the by-the-pound purchase of their market animals!! I do Tupperware booths at several local county fairs - starting this week. In Wisconsin,  the animals raised are cows, pigs, chickens and ducks. A good price on a beef is $3.25 per pound. I know it's over what I tell you to look for at the store, but it is UNDER what I tell you for roasts and steaks! You are getting the whole animal, steaks, roasts, ribs, stew meats; it all evens out. If you can't afford the initial purchase cost, consider going in with a friend/neighbor/group of people for 1/2 or 1/4 of the animal. If you have taken my Coupon Clipping 101 Class - you know I talk about price matching. Here is the "official" info that the policy for ad matching has become more defined. Nothing has changed but the gaps have been filled in. The new policy may or may not make it to the walmart website soon, but it is for all stores. 1. Miss Sarah and I hit Target yesterday --we were after some storage totes that are on sale and checked out the clearance. Toys are clearanced 50-75% off! The Angelina Ballerina was 50% off (down to $9.98) along with the Olivia sets (down to $4.98)and the Kung Zhu Hamsters were 75% off for a whopping total of $1.25. We stockpile gifts too - so they had to jump in the cart, along with some 75% off 4th of July items...like the tea lites (down to $.98) and the fireworks straws for $1. Grand total for everything in the picture? $30.95, saved $47.63 (60% total )!
