A Fair Deal on Meat!

A place to buy meats you may not know about, is your local county fair!

The animals are fed a higher quality food than lot raised animals, and are exercised daily by their 4-H or FFA raisers. As these are all non profit organizations, the donations to them are tax deductable!

This includes the by-the-pound purchase of their market animals!!

I do Tupperware booths at several local county fairs - starting this week.

In Wisconsin,  the animals raised are cows, pigs, chickens and ducks.
A good price on a beef is $3.25 per pound. I know it's over what I tell you to look for at the store,
but it is UNDER what I tell you for roasts and steaks!
You are getting the whole animal, steaks, roasts, ribs, stew meats; it all evens out.

If you can't afford the initial purchase cost, consider going in with a friend/neighbor/group
of people for 1/2 or 1/4 of the animal. Once you make your purchase,
clear out the freezer, your meat comes hand delivered in neatly wrapped packages,
usually with a thank you letter & photo of your dinner's raiser.

When was the last time your grocery store gave you a thank you letter?

Most large animal shopping events take place on Fridays...just check your fair schedule.

(Thanks Cindy!)
