Welcome Monroe Children On The Cheap Class!

Image
Welcome to my site! I LOVE helping people save money at the stores so they can put it to a more effective use for their families! I saved $40,000 in less than one year from just making a few simple changes in our family budget - you can too! Couponing and Meal Planning are just the tip of the iceberg - but account for about 50% of my savings! You will find where to get coupons , printable coupon links , SavingStar info, Swagbucks info and All You deals , along with the local stores' coupon policies and Ad Match Ups . I also have a lot of recipes posted, information about Coupons For The Military and more info posted. I am on Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook too (under Operation 40K) if you want to schedule a class or have any questions, please just shoot me an email at op40K@aol.com . Blessings, Dannelle

I am saving my shopping until 5/18 when they are having DOUBLE double daze - where we can double TEN coupons per transaction (but more on that later) A few things you need to know about these stores: You can double up to five manufacturer coupons (with a value of $1.00 or less) on Wednesdays and Saturdays, thru the end of March. Your total order needs to be at least $25 before tax and after store coupons, and you need to use your Roundy's rewards card in order for your coupons to double. Individual store coupon policies may vary, so be sure to check in with customer service.... but the standard company policy is listed HERE We have Fuel Perks Program ( here ) Make sure you take your own grocery bags -- you get $.05 for each one That may not seem like a lot but 10 a week, for 50 weeks is $25.00 !! Produce Deals --Look for $1/# or less for fresh, seasonal items --Weigh bags to get the heavier ones (ex: 10# bag of potatoes for $1.99, you might get an 1

2013 Summer Fun List

Image
Every year, I shared my list of cool things to do in the summer and I realized, it was time to do it again for the summer of 2013! Keep in mind that this isn't a list of everything you HAVE to do over the summer! It's a list to refer back to when you have those "what should we do today" moments. :) There is NO WAY we will get everything on the list done in the 10-12 week window of summer vacation !!! Just like meal planning - some ideas can roll onto the NEXT list if they don't actually happen on THIS list.| Some things are a definitely happening item and some a "fillers". I have seen MANY cool ways to make a list on Pinterest (LOVE that site) and will show them below but here is OUR list, just in case you need an idea or two to start yours! This summer seems swallowed up already -- We have a week of Camp Invention (Science Camp) We have a week of Vacation Bible Camp We have a week at the Cabin with my Father-In-Law We have 2 weeks in Flo

My Garage Sale Scores This Week

Image
I thought I left with $75... but found a $20 just inside my house! That means all I had was $55 -- but I think I did pretty well. :) I had dresses on the list for Miss Sarah, a coat for her (next winter) and some organizational stuff. Here is the day's haul: I certainly found some "church dresses".... there are seven of them here. The uppper right hand side has a Neapolitan Gymboree dress that had a matching pink jacket and that was my big splurge for the day...the other dresses ran $1 (like the floral on the bottom left to $5 like the beautiful mint Easter dress for next year More dresses here - for spring/summer/fall. I also scored some Justice shirts, two uber cute sweaters, a few leotards for gymnastics, summer jammies and what girl doesn't like jeans with cool stuff on them?   Blinggy flip flop/sandals...which she slept with {sigh} A cute pink Packer's Hat (so I can have MINE back...), several skirts (with built in shorts), a swimsuit, a

2013 Summer Reading Programs

Image
Our Sarah was fifteen months old when I started teaching her to ready with that " Your Baby Can Read " program. I got it before the whole thing was "infomercialed" into a $300 set...from an Usbourne Books gal and then made my own flash cards on my computer with clip art. Once a child understands the concept of the written word, their vocabulary and whole world just expand exponentially! Summer Reading Programs are a great way to keep that love of learning a books going for your kids in over the summer as they can earn free books and other fun stuff too! You can do a "google" search for different programs in your area -- I suggest starting with your public library! Ours has a different theme each year and a booklet that they get. Each week, you bring it back for a stamp and little gift, with a grand prize at the end of the 8 weeks. Our local aquatic center has a giant party that the kids earn admission to...but along the way they earn free pizza, st

Sunday Coupon Preview

Image
It looks like there will be three inserts in the paper this weekend ... a SmartSource, Proctor and Gamble and a RedPlum. You can check out what coupons are on the national line up -- but keep in mind that we may see slightly different ones in our own area. Want more coupons? Here is an easy way to get them: COUPON CLIPPING SERVICES You can always use a clipping service to get more insert coupons or ones that were not available in your local paper. I recommend these 4 sites Now that the Dollar Tree no longer carries the Sunday paper for $1.00 - it's time to talk discount subscriptions. (sigh) Check it out HERE to see if you have any special offers in your area. **This is a sponsored post.
