This is my $1,000 lunch bag set. Sound impossible? It doesn't COST $1,000 but it can save your family $1,000 or more! Just think about it: If you work outside the home and you buy lunch out almost every day... If you only spend $8.00 a day on lunch and a soda, get two weeks of vacation a year, that is 50 weeks at $40 a week...for a grand total of $2,000 a year with nothing to show for it! If you were to bring your lunch from home, use up some leftovers and your own juice/tea, you could easily save $1,000 or more a year. If you are married, DOUBLE that savings!! We haven’t even added in breaks or afternoon chocolate pick-me ups… However, if you brown bag it and use plastic wrap, foil, zippy bags and so on, four of those items plus the brown bag is only about $.1.15 a day that you throw away. We are entering that "akward" time of year where summer is almost over but fall hasn't started yet. Soon we will have things back like Kids at the Rotunda and family friendly events at the Waisman Center...but there will be little "new" stuff over the next couple of weeks. Yes, I am one of those crazy people. (But you know that, if you have been following for a while).  I like to be fully packed almost a week before a trip  instead of being like my husband who tosses things into a bag the day before he leaves. Now, I never seem to find myself out shopping for an item that I forget to pack, but remember a few trips with him... You see a picture of Miss Sarah's suitcase for our 10 day Disney trek. In the top, we have the 3 pairs of shoes - each stuffed with either socks, sunglasses or her jewelry for the trip, her swimsuit, goggles and nightgown too. In the bottom are her outfits, and bedtime stuff (bible, chapter book, glow bracelets, night light and sound machine). Her outfits are individually bagged and complete - from undies to hair accessories. Even the Princess Outfit she plans to wear to Epcot is bagged. I do this for a few reasons: Bed Bugs. First of all, I didn't think it was any where near as busy as Magic Kingdom! It was SOOO much easier to get a picture with a character as the lines were shorter. We started with a character breakfast at the Norwegian Castle of Epcot. While I cringed at the fact that it was $96 for the three of us, for breakfast, before tipping -- it was something she has been saving for and looking forward to. We caught Aurora Cinderella...  Snow White... Ariel...  They even sent out a special cupcake for her...complete with gummy bears. Just what every mom wants to see ingested first thing in the morning, LOL!  Again, it was the fabulous Merida dress that went right back to the zippy bag and back pack when we were done with the brunch. By the way, the food was amazing. A buffet of yogurt, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, pastries and more - then they brought a "hot plate" to your table with eggs, bacon, sausage and a cheesy potato bake.
