Epcot Character Meetups This Year And Tips

First of all, I didn't think it was any where near as busy as Magic Kingdom! It was SOOO much easier to get a picture with a character as the lines were shorter.

We started with a character breakfast at the Norwegian Castle of Epcot. While I cringed at the fact that it was $96 for the three of us, for breakfast, before tipping -- it was something she has been saving for and looking forward to. We caught Aurora
Cinderella...
Snow White...
Ariel...
They even sent out a special cupcake for her...complete with gummy bears.
Just what every mom wants to see ingested first thing in the morning, LOL!
Again, it was the fabulous Merida dress that went right back to the zippy bag and back pack
when we were done with the brunch.

By the way, the food was amazing.
A buffet of yogurt, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, pastries and more -
then they brought a "hot plate" to your table with eggs, bacon,
sausage and a cheesy potato bake.
Add in OJ and coffee - I think we got our $96 worth, LOL!
Seriously, the hubster kept going back for the peppered salmon that I wasn't brave enough to try.

It was interesting after we were done,
they open the Future World before the World Showcase.
Basically no wait - so we hit Mission Space (let your kid be on spot #3 so they can be the commander and, your boss on the mission), Universe of Energy with Ellen Degeneres (hilarious),
The Seas Clamobile with Nemo and Friends, And Soarin'.
Soarin' was GREAT but you want to be in row one of you will see people's feet in your "vision".

Then we zipped around the world!
Right away we found Alice of Wonderland in the UK
A few steps later it was Mary Poppins!
Over the channel and into France we found Marie...
Keep an eye out for the French Chef pushing a hand truck with crates on it...he is really a mini show!
You can't leave France with seeing Belle and the Beast, who was hilarious!
He wrapped Sarah up in his cape!
After France, I looked at my phone - 86 but felt like 103 with the humidity.
We were melting!
A quick stop in Japan for their shaved ice treat.
Miss Sarah had a rainbow one - which you couldn't tell after she stirred it all together, LOL
Half an hour later, between the ice and sitting in the shade, we were cooler.
We were ready for The American Adventure!
The 30 minute show is good, but the singers in the lobby of the building are A-MAZ-ING!
Make sure you hit them when they perform,
you are inside, in the coolness and they are so good you get goosebumps!
Off to Italy, Germany, The Outpost and finally China - where we met Mulan.
We ended back at Norway and did the Maelstrom ride...
then had the walk back to the front of the park. In the heat.
Splash pad to the rescue for Miss Sarah.
Socks and shoes off - with a 20 minute romp.
(Yes, I was in there a bit too...)
There were a few more places we could hit but it was 4 hours until the fireworks were to go off.
We were melting.
We went back to our hotel, and hit the pool.

Guess what?
HUGE thunderstorms rolled in and they even closed the pools.
We would have been miserable if we had tried to stay at Epcot.

It was a great ending to a busy, hot day - watching a Disney movie on TV, all snugly.
