I told you a few months ago that we were averaging $3-400 a month eating out...we still eat out, but have become much smarter about it!

Who says there is no such thing as a free lunch? We got a post card in the mail today for a Rocky Rococo Birthday Club member offer for Sarah today. She has almost two months to bring in the card and get a FREE slice of their pizza.

What little kid doesn't like pizza?

Of course, she won't be going their by herself and they are banking on 1-2 parent meals with it...I like their fresh salad bar! Our local coupon book had a special for a B1G1 salad bar trip...SO, she will get her free pizza sometime over the course of the next month and we will have a half price salad.

That is just one place! Do you know how many restaurants have similar offers? ALL of them! Think of your favorite places that you like to eat at...now do a quick check for their websites. Everyone from Culver's to Lawrey's has a special customer offer or Birthday Club that you can sign up for.

After you have checked for them online...look for them on Facebook! They often have special offers on there too!

Make a list of your top 20 places...hunt down a few each day and apply. Soon the offers will be in your mailbox and you will have a yummy meal that you didn't have to cook. Doesn't that always make it taste better?

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
