Team Annual Picnic!

Every year (as far back as I can remember) I have done a family picnic for my TupperTeam. I think it's important to recognize the families behind the family business! We let EVERYONE come - they don't have to earn the event, it is FREE. We have the food to grill, drinks, games for the kids, a bounce house, drawings for them, goodie bags for the kids and more! They only need to bring something to sit on and a dish to pass. If their last name is: A-K, bring a salad, L-Z, bring a dessert. We end up with everything from 7 Layer salad (my absolute fav!) to Chocolate Eclair torte!
If you have followed my blog, you know I shop smart and have gotten good deals on brats, dogs, buns, chips and soda -- Mr Andy tends the grill.

We put put the croquet, bocce ball and more, we did skip the nets this year - we felt it was going to be too hot for playing and we were right, it topped 90*!

The line of prizes...we just make a trail along the sidewalk of all the goodies I collect over the year and draw off. We had a kid's swimming pool, Chef Series pans, stuff animals, logo items, Wisconsin T-shirts, spa baskets, an ice cream maker, and more! The gang has the whole month before to earn "picnic tickets" for the drawings...they get ONE for coming and then, their envelope of added chances for the drawings. 1 ticket for every $100 they sell for the month, 5 tickets for earning a 5% bonus check, 5 tickets for earning a 10% bonus check, 3 tickets for each guest they bring to our monthly sales meeting, and 10 tickets for every new consultant they welcome! This is Colleen. I remember a year ago when she said "I never win anything!". She has since then won cash drawings, luggage and look at her loot today - and she only had two tickets, LOL!
Can you guess that Brandon and Karissa were happy that their mom won the pool?
An old Tupperware host gift was an ice shaver...we pull it out every year for snow cones! I buy the boxes of cone/straw combos on clearance at the end of summer and save them in the "picnic" box for the next year - the kids LOVE them!

It was VERY hot this year, but very fun - we feel that it is a great privilege to be working with these people and giving back to them, is something we should do often. This is one of the small tings we add to the year , in addition to the Annual cruise promotion we run. The kids remember it from year to year -- and those that are now teens, still try to come.
:)

You probably recognize the bouncy house from the Puppy Party -- we did both parties the same weekend, on different days. The business paid for it and we really got our use out of it (and so did a few neighborhood children...LOL!)

Until next time -- have you remembered to tell people "thank you"?
