Walgreen's Score!

If you have a little person going back to school, NOW is the time to start collecting back to school supplies! This picture shows my Walgreen's score today -- all of that for just $10.97...I SAVED (are you ready for this?).... $36.26! That is a 78% savings on school supplies!

Granted my little person won't be using all of the items you see in the picture, many of them went right into the basket of goodies we are collecting for our Luther World Relief School Kits.

Some things will work their way into the hands of my new Tupper consultants (index cards, pens, hi-lighers).

Let's recap the deals for the week (coupons in the circular):

Crayons and colored pencils were on sale for $.49 a box...notebooks are usually 5 for $1 at Target (not sure when - but soon!)

NEXT week, Erasers will be just $.49 in a two pack, Wood Rulers $.09, 2 pocket folders $.09

Keep in mind - just because they have a limit on the coupon - there is no reason why you can't go back and do a second or third transaction! I KNOW I will go back this week and get more index cards and hi lighters!

Another great place to watch is Staples. Hands down they beat the other office supply stores last year for school supplies - just keep an eye on their weekly ads!

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
