Valentine's Friend Coupon Book

McDonald’s releases a coupon booklet with FREE kids items about 4-6 times a year. The new Valentine’s booklet is out and the coupons are good from 2/14 to 5/15. The booklet sells for just $1.

Here’s what coupons you will find:

FREE Apple Dippers (3 of these)
FREE Apple Juice or Milk Jug (3 of these)
FREE Small Cone (3 of these)
FREE Hamburger (3 of these)
You are limited to 1 item per certificate and you must be 12 or under to use it.

These would be GREAT to stock up on - you can get an occasional treat and it only costs you $.08 each! I would LOVE to get 5 or so books!

***I called around and haven't been able to find them locally yet - NO Madison, Sun Prairie or Waunakee store carries them yet, and they don't know if they will get them in. If YOUR store carries them, please, let me know!

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
