Cub Foods, HyVee, Aldi

Just perusing the sales fliers today and this is what jumped out at me:
Remember my price guidelines (Produce under $1 a pound and meat under $2 a pound)

Corned Beef and Cabbage is almost here - deals on both are popping up. When I had my restaurant, we preferred the Eye of Round Corned Beef for both flavor and texture. If you find it at your local butcher's - splurge! It is SOOOO worth it and SOOOO little waste!

Another 2-Day sale coming: Thursday March 10th and Friday March 11th... A GREAT deal on butter! $1.99/# - about half price of the going rate out there!! Add:
Nabisco Premium Saltines $.99 (limit of 2)
Chilean Red Seedless Grapes $.99/#
Skippy Peanut Butter $.99/#
Colgate Toothpaste $.88 (great for my challenge!)

What else do they have this week?

Produce:
Zeal Navel Oranges $.59/#
Stemilt Granny Smith Apples $.88/#
Artisian Organic Granny Smith Apples $.88/#
Fresh Green Cabbage $.19/#

Meat:
Fresh Alaskan Pollock Fillets $1.99/# (sold in a 10# box)
Buckly Farms Corned Beef Brisket $1.49/#
HyVee 100% Natural Split Chicken Breast $1.49/#

***This week CUB FOODS has the FREE FREEZER OFFER!!!
Buy an Igloo Freezer for $159.99 and they will fill it with $160 of food coupons. This is like last week at HyVee - supplies are limited!

What else do they have?

Produce:
Far Stand Navel Oranges $2.99 for a 4# bag.

Meat:
Fresh Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts $1.88/#
****Do your math on the B1G1 Gold'n Plump Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast packs, make sure they come out to being under the target price point of $1.99/# -- they are NORMALLY under that so it SHOULD be around $1-1.30/# with this deal when you get the free one added to it.

Aldi

Produce:
***There have been a lot of reports of GREAT clearance produce prices at the stores lately - check it out! Hands down, they are beating the other stores for the prices! Their flier has:

Lemons $.19 each - I think it is time to make some Hollendaise for the freezer!
Oranges $.42/# sold in 4-pound bag for $1.69 (I will get FREE this week at Copp's)
Clementines $.85/lb sold in 2-pound bag for $1.69
Pineapple $1.69 each - make sure it weighs over 2#

What caught your eye this week?
