My Copp's Run Today

Yes, I managed to squeeze in a run today and score some deals on DOUBLE Double day! =)
I wasn't sure I would make it as I left at 6:30 AM for a Tupperware Training in Green Bay, and then we got home and I had to pick up Ms Sarah at my Mom's.

We made it though - three transactions and stayed under $10 total!

Transaction #1
1 gallon milk @$3.39
1 pack Chips Ahoy Cookies @$2.00 (normally $2.99)
3 packs Uncle Ben's Garden Veggie Ready Rice @$1.75
4 packs OreIda Sweet Potato Fries @$2.50 (normally $3.15)
Wonka bar @$1.88 (normally 2.39)

Coupons Used: FREE milk voucher, $1 off Chips Ahoy when you buy milk (doubled),three $1 off Uncle Ben's (doubled to $1.75), four $1 off OreIda Sweet Potatoes (doubled), $1 off Wonka (doubled)

Total $26.67 for $.93

8 Roundy's Chicken Kiev @$1 (normally 1.99) ***she rang up NINE - I have to get it back on my next visit...

Coupons Used: ten $1 off Uncle Ben's (doubled to $1.75), $6 in Wags RR

I paid $3 for everything but need to get $1 back SOOOO my total should be $33.42 for $2 but I got a $1 off my next order Catalina from Uncle Ben's!

Grand total for today: $88.92 for $4.07 (95.4% savings) and they gave me $1 back!

Not bad - 39 items for $4 - that is about $.10 each!

-->We LOVE Sweet Potatoes and can't wait to try the fries, the candy bars are going in the Easter Baskets, the rice will be some stockpile and some stockpile swap!

    FYI -- I hit the store at 7:30 PM, so I wouldn't clear the shelves on people
    =)
    The 15 bags of rice weren't on sale, just a good deal with the double coupons, and I COULD have gotten more OreIda than just the 7...I DID hit a few empty items on my hitlist - that is why I only used 9 coupons in transaction #1 -- sigh.

    I was in too big a rush to work it out, LOL!

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
