Stockpile Pictures!!!

I know my weekly shopping trips look insane: 15 packages of rice here, 15 cans of soup there, 10 bottles of juice here, 30 cans of Spaghettios, 20 boxes of potatoes, 36 boxes of cereal, etc.
(You get the idea).


I stock up on what is on sale and make sure it will tide us over for at least six months, until the next sale on that item rolls around. Here is my current stockpile, in it's full glory...2 shelving units in the basement, one chest freezer and three kitchen cupboards, and an old ice box. (My house is prehistoric).

Not overly insane - Just enough to hold us for about 6 months and yes, the token Tupperware in the picture, LOL!

    I don't have room for much more than that in my house, and I refuse to put it anywhere other than typical storage areas. I won't put it in my shower or under my bed...not THAT extreme yet! :-) Great stockpile though!!

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
