Team Picnic!

Every year (as far back as I can remember) I have done a family picnic for my TupperTeam.
I think it's important to recognize the families behind the family business!
We let EVERYONE come - they don't have to earn the event, it is FREE.
We have the food to grill, drinks, games for the kids, a bounce house, drawings for them,
goodie bags for the kids and more! They only need to bring something to sit on and a dish to pass.
If their last name is: A-K, bring a salad, L-Z, bring a dessert.
We end up with everything from 7 Layer salad (my absolute fav!) to Triple Chocolate Cake!
If you have followed my blog, you know I shop smart and have gotten good deals on brats,
dogs, buns, chips and soda -- Mr Andy tends the grill.

We usually put out the croquet, bocce ball and more,
but it was a far cry from last year's 90+ day. We had 65 and light rain!
We got out all the canopies to cover food, and be able to sit under.

The rain didn't stop the kids though -
they didn't care if they got a little wet in the bounce house
or on the swings or slide.

They all had "goody bags" that included glow in the dark bracelets,
bubble containers shaped like ice cream cones, a little candy and something fun and patriotic.
Of course we have goodies for the adults too:
The pile of prizes...a lot of logo items this year: binders, polo shirt,
can koozies, bags, license plate covers, and more.

The gang has the first 5 months of the year to earn "picnic tickets" for the drawings...
they get ONE for coming and then, for every new consultant they added,
every time they earned a bonus check,
being in the Royalty Program and more!
Then come the drawings!

The picnic was called early this year, because we started to hear thunder and see lightning.
(sigh)
We all could handle the drizzle, but wanted to be safe.
:)
It was very dreary this year, but very fun -
we feel that it is a great privilege to be working with these people and giving back to them,
is something we should do often.
This is one of the small tings we add to the year ,
in addition to the Annual cruise promotion we run.
The kids remember it from year to year --
and those that are now teens, still try to come.
:)

You probably recognize the bouncy house from the Blog Play date --
we did both parties the same weekend, on different days.
The business paid for it and we really got our use out of it
(and so did a few neighborhood children...LOL!)

Until next time -- have you remembered to tell people "thank you"?
