A simple day at Copps - only three transactions, but I think we did pretty darned well!

I really didn't think there 5 meats for $20 was a big deal until I got to the Salmon.
Most stores have it at about $12/# right now and this sale would make it only $4.
THAT is a stock up price
:)

I got sucked in with the cereal deal -- and figure I got the 5 boxes for $.81 each, and then, the Free gallon of milk. It was an impulse transaction, LOL...nothing like taking your coupon box/binder with you to the store...and now have plenty of fruit snacks for our kiddo - seriously, about a years worth in the 8 boxes we got today, as we rarely eat them.

Final price : $39.06 for $.44 and I got back a $3.75 voucher for my next trip with Milk ($3.31 money maker!)

Grand total for today? $129.07 for $31.01 - a 76% savings.**

We had to have the pizza tonight, so I could close my freezer, LOL- it's simply too full!

**the total SHOULD be $159.07 for that $31.01 as the salmon was a GREAT score! That would be an 80% savings.

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
