Indoor Farmer's Market

Super Saturday Story time - at Barn's N Noble Bookstore (10:30 AM - 11:15 AM)
Super Saturday Imagination Story time is on the first and third Saturday of each month and begins at 10:30am. It's an amazing adventure for children and their family to take together!

Kids in the Rotunda
 Every Saturday October thru May - Overture Center for the Arts
Overture Center offers free arts programs designed for children and families at 9:30 AM, 11 AM and 1 PM. The popular performing arts series for children and families offers a relaxed, kid-friendly environment in which to enjoy a diverse lineup of local and regional musicians, storytellers, jugglers, theater troupes, magicians and dancers.
The 1 PM performances are sign language interpreted. Kids in the Rotunda takes place on the Rotunda Stage. This week: The Cash Box Kings who are dedicated to carrying on the spirit of the 1940's and 50's post-war blues sound.

Chemistry Fun at UW Space Place
Space Place family workshops are offered every Saturday at 10 a.m. for children ages 6-10 and their parents. The workshops are free and open to the public. No registration is required for any of the workshops but attendance is LIMITED to the first 50 people. This weekend:
"Twister in a Bottle" What is a tornado and how do they form? Experiment with making your own tornado in a bottle.
Space Place is located at 2300 S. Park Street in the Villager Mall, which is just north of the Beltline Highway

Spring Flower Show - A GARDEN PARTY  at Olbrich Gardens10 am - 4 pm daily (LAST WEEKEND)
Step into Olbrich's Atrium, filled with the sights and smells of spring. Colorful daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths are among the spring flowers that bloom in this indoor show of spring at its finest. Suggested $2 admission. GREAT for pictures! 3330 Atwood Avenue, Madison

Visit the UW Geology Museum
1215 W. Great for those like my daughter who want to be a Paleontologist!

Distinctly Dane 175th Birthday Celebration
2 pm - 4 pm. Dimensions In Sound and The Studio Orchestra will be performing a series of FREE concerts throughout Dane County this spring featuring music by Dane County composers, Big Band era tunes and much more. Maple Syrup Fest
1 pm - 3 pm. A family-style festival at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center! This year's Maple Syrup Fest will feature ten stations set throughout the nature center grounds that will lead visitors, at their own pace, through the history of maple syruping and related craft and activities. Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
