My trip today went just like I planned it to -- 6 transactions and out in 40 minutes. It took a tad longer to check out as there was only one cashier and she jumped to a different register any time there was a customer to check out, so they didn't have to wait for me.
:)
I had planned out six $25+ transactions with my Envelope System and was ready for all of the fun!

 To start with, I have a lot of coupons for $1.00/1 Quaker Hearts Cereal so I pre-ordered 50 boxes of it as it was only $2.00 a box in the current ad, and is normally $3.99. That means I save $199.50 on just the cereal alone!

I know I could do better but we are out of Turkey after I cook the 2 birds in my freezer off next week and I wanted the Lil Smokies. I make pigs in a blanket and put a few into Miss Sarah's lunch cold, with ketchup to dip them in. It's a nice switch from the PBJ. If I didn't get those two things (turkey and 10 packs of smokies) I could drop my total by over $28.00......but I really don't need to stock up on more Glade, cough drops, etc.

This will almost wrap up my budget for the month...I am $10.00 OVER for November but saved some of my October Budget to cover it

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it!
