Clown'N Around Winter Carnival
Full of fun, food, prizes, and games. Sun Prairie Nursery School - 11am to 2pm
702 North St, Sun Prairie. Children's Entertainer DAVID LANDAU performing at 11:30 & 12:30
This is a family carnival and the annual fundraiser for the Sun Prairie Nursery School, but everyone is welcome to attend. There will be carnival games for the kids, clowns and balloon animals, Musician Dave Landau will be performing, Noodles & Company will provide the food and Beans 'n Cream will have a coffee cart. There will also be a silent auction and a raffle drawing.

****I can't find the admission price on this but think it was $5 per family last year - with food being an additional price. Kids left with a goodie bag.

Saturday, February 2nd from 9 am – 12 noon. Kids can build their own Valentine Card Holder! Designed for ages 5-12, these workshops are offered the 1st Saturday of every month and teach children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and give them a sense of pride and accomplishment. Participants receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement.

Every Saturday October thru May - Overture Center for the Arts
Overture Center offers free arts programs designed for children and families at 9:30 AM, 11 AM and 1 PM. The popular performing arts series for children and families offers a relaxed, kid-friendly environment in which to enjoy a diverse lineup of local and regional musicians, storytellers, jugglers, theater troupes, magicians and dancers.
The 1 PM performances are sign language interpreted. Kids in the Rotunda takes place on the Rotunda Stage. This week--the Blues Music of the Cash Box Kings!

Visit the UW Geology Museum
1215 W. Dayton St., 262-2399, http://www.geologymuseum.org/ (Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free.) —Besides its extensive mineral, rock and fossil collections behind glass, kids can touch rocks from a time when there were volcanoes in Wisconsin, see rocks and minerals that glow, and stand under huge mastodon tusks. Great for those like my daughter who want to be a Paleontologist!

Waisman Center is back!!The spring 2012 Waisman Center Children's Theatre series sponsored by Baird and hosted by the Friends of the Waisman Center. Admission: $2.00, Adults; $1.00, Children.
Tickets: Advance tickets for any show in the entire series can be purchased at the ticket table beginning on the first performance date and then throughout the series. The ticket table opens at NOON and is only open on days when there is a performance. Sign Interpreters: All shows sign interpreted.
Location: Friends of the Waisman Center Auditorium, 1500 Highland Avenue
Directions: Turn North from University Ave at the intersection of University Bay
Dr. and Farley Ave; continue over the hill onto Highland Ave.
The Waisman Center is down the hill on the left. Enter parking lot by athletic
fields.
Parking:Free. Park in far end of lot of the Waisman lot, #82. Additional
parking is also available in lots 76 and 60. Parking and maps are available

The Memorial Union Terrace
They always seem to have something fun going on there - music, Babcock ice cream, etc and there is no charge!

Last time we went there were FREE crafts, a GIANT inflatable Bucky, Balloon animals and an outdoor brat stand (not FREE).

Look for the big orange chair and turn it into a photo-op like we did with Miss Sarah and the peanut of Ashely from Coupons for Wisconsin already this summer!
