My Garage Sale Scores Today

My buddy Kelley and I hit Pardeeville today and Rio for the city wide garage sales.
Seriously, it is SO MUCH fun to go with a friend and, when you both know what is "on the list",
you can cover twice as much ground in less time. We laugh SO hard, it's a blast!
 
My favorite score?
Honestly, the picture doesn't do the dress justice... it is absolutely breath taking!
I got this GORGEOUS navy dress with silver glitter accents and satin sash for $5 --
it still had the tags on it!
 
My other favorite today?
This Disney Fairy mesh canopy that actually lights up (battery powered).
Again, this was $5.
Those were my "big" buys for the day, as I didn't spend more than $30 all day.
I also got a beautiful glass pie plate (not pictured)
The leotard for gymnastics, triple weave throw for winter, back pack for my last "bug out bag",
the light blue dance costume is for dress up, lots of Gymboree shirts/sweaters,
black boots, shorts, a rubber stamp, and skirt/top outfit.
Three more leotards, cute camo top, peace dress with ruffled skirt, book for me, DVD,
Complete Winnie The Pooh, more Gymboree tops, St Patty's wreath, Farkle game (never opened),
few Tupperware Shelf Savers (wish we still sold them!) a hat for Miss Sarah,
and rubber stamp for a Girl Scout project.
 
Grand total: $29.45

My garage sale buget has $194.05 left for the summer!

Chili Dog Casserole

I know this sounds strange -- and yummy at the same time, LOL You need to know the family history to "get it". We are part German, part English, part Irish and part Tennessee Hillbilly. Seriously. Did you ever see that black and white movie of Gary Cooper's called Sergeant York? Yes, my family comes from the Dyer/Yorks -- same family. Some of the "family recipes" are too far out there for even me to try... But this is a pot luck favorite. SUPER Easy and SUPER Easy to make healthier. We choose the middle of the road option, LOL You need:  1 package hot dog buns (8 ct) 1 package hot dogs 2 cups chili (or 1 can) 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese "fixins" That's it! You could do gluten free or whole grain wheat buns, turkey or tofu dogs, vegetarian chili, vegan or light cheese, you get the drift.
